Meet the artists | Lili Reynaud-Dewar 

<p><em>Art Basel’s ‘Meet the artists’ series presents contemporary creatives shaping today’s cultural</em> <em>landscape </em></p>
<p>In this episode of ‘Meet the artists’, Art Basel joins <a href="https://www.artbasel.com/catalog/artist/8278/Lili-Reynaud-Dewar" target="_blank">Lili Reynaud-Dewar</a>&nbsp;in her hotel room in Paris.</p>
<p>Reynaud-Dewar's varied artistic practice encompasses performance, sculpture, video, and installation. She creates interventions that inhabit the architecture of a given space, interacting with the public in a way that transcends the boundary between the work and the audience.&nbsp;</p>
<p>In the intimacy of the hotel room, Reynaud-Dewar looks back on her artistic journey, her influences, and inspirations. ‘The hotel room interests me because it's a generic space. You're a tenant, not the owner of the premises, and I like this idea of impermanence.’&nbsp;</p>
<p>‘I feel like I'm doing something a bit sociological,’ says Reynaud-Dewar of her practice which seeks to integrate the social with the aesthetic, even if it means erasing herself.&nbsp;</p>
